A friend of mine just introduced me to this clip. It amped me up pretty bad, so I thought I would share it. Steven Hawking is one of my heroes. So, to see him in it made me really really happy. Had they access, I imagine they would have invited my other big hero, Abraham Lincoln. But, I guess the timing just wasn't right on this production.
I don't have any production stories from Japan this week. But, I do teach English sometimes. And, the other day, I walked into one of my Jr. High classrooms and there was this kid out on the balcony rolling around on the concrete, wheezing and coughing in a manner that would make doctors worry. I walked over to check if he was OK. After a couple minutes, he caught his breath and told me that he had just eaten a stick of chalk. He concluded by saying, "I'm a god damn idiot. I'll never do that again."
This wasn't nearly as scary as a summer camp I did when a little girl (7 or 8) wandered out into the woods, drank a bottle of soap-water bubble solution and passed out.
So, today's points are:
1) The world is a beautiful place
2) Don't eat chalk
3) Don't drink bubble-stuff
